Tropical Fusion Jam containing figs, guava, passion fruit, and star fruit

🌿 Ingredients:

  • 500g ripe figs, chopped
  • 500g guava, peeled and diced
  • 3 passion fruits, pulp only
  • 2 star fruits, thinly sliced
  • 750g granulated sugar
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 packet pectin

🍋 Instructions:

1. Tropical prep:
In a large bowl, combine chopped figs, guava, and star fruit slices. Let their colors mingle.

2. Passion fruit magic:
Halve the passion fruits and scoop out the pulp into a small bowl. Set aside — this is your final flourish.

3. Sweet symphony:
In a heavy-bottomed pot, mix the prepared fruits with sugar, lemon juice, and pectin. Stir until well combined.

4. Bring the heat:
Set over medium-high heat and bring to a rolling boil. Lower to medium and simmer, stirring often, until the jam thickens — about 20–30 minutes.

5. Final touch:
Stir in the passion fruit pulp and cook for 2–3 more minutes. The aroma should be irresistible.

6. Jar prep:
While the jam simmers, sterilize jars and lids by boiling them for 5 minutes.

7. Pour & seal:
Ladle the hot jam into jars, leaving 1/4 inch at the top. Seal tightly with sterilized lids.

8. Water bath:
Process sealed jars in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes to ensure a perfect seal.

9. Cool & store:
Let jars cool completely. Store in a cool, dark place — or gift them with a ribbon and a smile.
