Ingredients from my garden:
Moringa (Moringa oleifera / มะรุม): A nutrient-dense superfood, Moringa is packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. It's known for its anti-inflammatory properties, immune support, and potential to help manage blood sugar levels.Turmeric (Curcuma longa / khamin): Famous for its powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant compound, curcumin. Turmeric supports joint health, digestion, and the immune system.
Ginger (Zingiber officinale / King): A well-known digestive aid, ginger can help soothe an upset stomach, reduce nausea, and has strong anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. It also adds a warming, spicy note to the tea.
Holy Basil (Ocimum tenuiflorum or Ocimum sanctum / bai krapao): Often referred to as "Tulsi," Holy Basil is an adaptogen that helps the body cope with stress. It also has immune-boosting, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties.

How to Prepare the Tea:

Method:
Preparation of Plants:
- Moringa: Use fresh or dried leaves.
- Turmeric: Use a small piece of fresh turmeric root (sliced or grated) or dried turmeric powder.
- Ginger: Use a small piece of fresh ginger root (peeled and sliced or grated).
- Holy Basil: Use fresh leaves and tender stems.
- Lemongrass: Use 1-2 stalks, bruised and cut into smaller pieces.
Proportions (Adjust to your taste and desired strength):
- Moringa: 1 tablespoon fresh leaves or 1 teaspoon dried leaves
- Turmeric: 1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon grated fresh root or 1/4 teaspoon powder
- Ginger: 1/2 inch piece, sliced or grated
- Holy Basil: 5-7 fresh leaves
- Lemongrass: 1 stalk, bruised and cut
Brewing:
- Bring 2-3 cups of fresh water to a boil.
- Add the prepared Moringa, Turmeric, Ginger, Holy Basil, and Lemongrass to the boiling water.
- Reduce heat to a simmer and let it steep for 7-10 minutes. This allows the flavors and beneficial compounds to infuse into the water.
- Strain the tea into your cup, discarding the plant material.
Optional Enhancements:
- Black Pepper (a tiny pinch): For turmeric, adding a tiny pinch of black pepper can significantly increase the bioavailability of curcumin.
